Training rides for the Belleville Area Bicycling and Eating Society-St.
Louis Cycling Club will include our Wednesday Evening Rides,
Winery Rides and most other rides.
While BABES rides are open to members, we are currently welcoming
cyclists of all skill levels to give us a try, it's helpful if you feel
comfortable
with reading maps and following road signs before attending one of our
rides. But if you aren't, we will help you become a more self-sufficient
cyclist!
We encourage you to become a member of the Belleville Area Bicycling
and Eating Society-St. Louis Cycling Club! For more information about
joining, visit STLCC's
News/Info page and follow the links. Annual dues
are $30 for adult full membership, $35 for full family membership and
$10 for sustaining members.

More about us
In
July 2004, Bicycling Magazine included the BABES Wednesday Evening Rides
in its "Bikes
on the Loose" feature of great club rides from throughout the country.
We were honored to be on the list.
The Riverfront Times says the Belleville Area Bicycling and Eating Society
the St.
Louis area's top bicycle club in its 2008 Best of St. Louis edition!
In particular, we were cited for our Wednesday Evening Rides and our
occassional Donut Trail Rides in South St. Louis.
For other rides sponsored by the Gateway Council of Hostelling International,
check out the monthly
calendar.
BABES maps available online
As a service to St. Louis-area cyclists, BABES ride leaders are sharing
maps of their favorite routes in the metro-east. Illinois always has
been a favorite destination for St. Louis-area cyclists because of its
scenic, low-traffic country roads. You can download the maps on our Maps page.
